Crain’s Chicago Business Names Partner Rob Bernstein to 2022 Notable Gen X Leaders in Law List
Laner Muchin Partner Rob Bernstein has been named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ 2022 Notable Gen X Leaders in Accounting, Consulting and Law list. Rob was chosen for his exemplary work in the field of labor and employment law, his dedication to attorney mentorship and the positive influence he has had on the Firm. The award, published in the December issue of Crain’s Chicago Business, honors those who were born between 1965 and 1980, serve in a senior-level role at their company and have made significant contributions to advancing the industry.
A trusted legal advisor to numerous employers across the United States in a variety of industries, Rob has dedicated his career to the practice of labor and employment law. He counsels clients on navigating complex employee relations issues, defends them in a myriad of employment disputes and represents them in collective bargaining negotiations. His clients often depend on Rob to fulfill the role of external in-house labor and employment counsel.
Rob serves as a member of Laner Muchin’s Mentorship Program. He regularly meets with junior attorneys to discuss their work, marketing goals and broader career objectives. He also regularly assists with the advancement of his fellow attorneys’ career aspirations in the marketing area.
As Chair of the Firm’s Marketing Committee, Rob has elevated the Firm’s positioning in the legal marketplace, resulting in increased visibility for the Firm’s attorneys as well as business development opportunities. Rob further bolsters Laner Muchin’s reputation through regular presentations at professional conferences, and by encouraging Firm attorneys to hone their individual marketing efforts. Additionally, Rob serves as a member of the Firm’s five-member Executive Committee, which leads Laner Muchin’s day-to-day operations.
Outside the Firm, Rob is the co-moderator and a speaker at the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s annual Employment Law Conference. He is an active participant and speaker for the American Bar Association’s Equal Employment Opportunity Committee. Rob also serves as a member of the Advisory Council and is a frequent speaker for the Illinois Restaurant Association and the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association. He is also a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
