Laner Muchin Attorney Eileen Momblanco Presented at the 2018 AILA Employer Compliance and Worksite Enforcement CLE Conference
Chicago, IL – Laner Muchin attorney Eileen Momblanco served on two panels discussing the I-9 Form and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services E-Verify system at the 2018 AILA Employer Compliance and Worksite Enforcement CLE Conference on August 10-11, 2018 in Boston.
The first panel introduced the I-9 Form process and addressed timing and general requirements. They also reviewed the I-9 Form itself, identified “smart” features of the online form, discussed recent changes from the prior version, and provided guidance and resources for I-9 completion. The second panel discussed complex issues related to the E-Verify system including multiple worksite enrollment, conflicting state laws, and recommendations for internal reviews of E-Verify use.
Momblanco has devoted her career to the practice of immigration law; she has focused her practice on employment-based immigration law and has represented many large, multinational companies located throughout the U.S.
She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association, Chicago Chapter, and is the Chair of the Immigration Section of the Federal Bar Association, Chicago Chapter. She also recently served on the National Verification & Worksite Enforcement Liaison Committee for the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
