Chicago, IL – Laner Muchin attorney David A. Moore presented on “Time off Laws: Trends and Legal Updates,” to the Fox Valley Payroll Association sponsored by Paychex on Thursday, July 19, 2018.

Moore’s presentation focused on national, state, and local trends and legal requirements regarding paid sick, paid family and parental leave, and unlimited paid time off plans, managing intermittent leave under the FMLA, and recent litigation regarding whether employers are required by the ADA to provide leave beyond FMLA leave.

Moore’s practice assists employers with respect to employment litigation, labor relations, employee benefits, and employment related immigration.  He represents employers in federal and state court and before federal, state and local administrative agencies on matters ranging from wage and hour class actions, single and multi-plaintiff discrimination, harassment and wrongful discharge claims, and non-compete issues. 

Moore also counsels employers on day-to-day employment law and HR compliance, including under Title VII, the ADEA, the FMLA, the FLSA, the FCRP, and NLRA, and similar state and local laws.
