Laner Muchin Adds to Growing Firm Roster with Addition of Associates Jolianne S. Alexander and Amber N. Lukowicz

Jolianne has extensive experience counseling clients on employee relations issues arising under the Illinois Human Rights Act and Title VII, as well as other employment-related statutes. She also has significant experience litigating claims at the administrative, trial, and appellate levels, and has argued before the Illinois Supreme Court on a novel issue pertaining to disability discrimination/"disability harassment" under Illinois law. Her dynamic perspective stems from her years of experience in practicing employment law as an in-house counsel, and as both a plaintiff’s and defense-side employment attorney.
Amber focuses her practice in employment and labor litigation and counseling, and comes from a Chicago trial firm in which she gained extensive experience in defending employers with respect to employee-related claims from the initial report through litigation or settlement of the matter. Amber also has experience performing discrimination and sexual harassment internal investigations and defending employers in OSHA investigations and NLRB charges. Amber utilizes her wide range of experience in insurance claims to assist employers in their day-to-day risk management, including drafting employment policies and training programs to maintain compliance with state and federal laws and handling sensitive terminations.
